Honorary

Addison attended her first wedding this past weekend. My sister, Jenn, got married and she made Addison an honorary flower girl. Thankfully, she did not have to go down the aisle and actually be in the wedding, just put on the flower girl dress and take some pictures. I think during the actual wedding her daddy ended up carrying her around somewhere in the back of the church as she was exhausted from all of the wedding festivities. But, she looked adorable even if it was past her bedtime! Here are a few pictures of Addison trying on her flower girl dress. I'm sure I'll have more pictures of the wedding coming soon!

Celebrate Good Times

Brad celebrated his 26th birthday on April 25th. It was a Sunday, and he was actually at the firestation until that evening, but it was still a good day. Addison and I went to see him at the fire station after church and took him a German chocolate cake. (Little did I know they had already made him that same cake at the station, haha, so I took it home and we had cake after dinner! :)) When Brad came home from work we went to Abuelo's for dinner with the fam. Jenn was in town doing wedding stuff, so she got to come too! Brad got some fun little things like a movie, and wii game, and a wheelbarrow, but I think his favorite gift came from Addison. During dinner I handed her to Brad so I could finish my dinner and she curled up in his arms and laid her head on his shoulder. If you read my blog you know why this was a big deal. It was the best gift that Addison could have given her daddy and the perfect end to his day. Addison and I are so blessed to have Brad as a wonderful dad and husband! Happy birthday, Brad!!

Just a few short weeks later, Brad and I celebrated our third anniversary on June 2nd. He took off of work so we could go out that night. We had sooo much fun! We went to dinner, a movie, and to get ice cream. I love talking about our relationship history and Brad let me do that to my hearts content, and then we dreamed about our future. It was a great night, and a great time to just get to be us together. So for a little more reminiscing...scroll down and click play. Happy third anniversary, Brad!! I love you!!

Ten, ten, ten

Here is what Addison has been up to in her tenth month (June 20th):

"I'm ten months old!"

"Here you go mom, I'm done with my bow."

"Not really feeling the picture thing."

• Pulling up on anything within arm's reach, especially people that are sitting on the floor.
• Blowing kisses.
• Playing patty-cake.
• Clapping her hands.
• Pointing to things she wants.
• Cruising around the furniture - again super cautious
• Crawling everywhere...she got over the tile thing pretty fast,
  she's my little explorer now.
• Has had ANOTHER cold...poor thing always seems to have a runny
  nose.
• Is getting much better about eating table food...she hated to
  chew at first...but now she is ok with it and loves finger foods, especially
  peaches.
• Smiles at everyone, and will most often wave.
• Says momma and dadda.
• Walks behind toys that roll...or anything that she is strong
  enough to push.
• Likes to push and pull toys across the floor...or barstools, or
  her highchair.
• Very expressive.
• Bathes in the big tub now.
• Went for her first swim.
• Laughs at everything Grandad Job does...even if he just walks
  into the room.
• Likes to be "chased."
• Can stand up on her own, but will only do it if you distract her
  with a toy, or she isn't thinking about it. As soon as she realizes what she is
  doing she will very carefully sit down. haha.
• Signing all done.
• Loves, loves, loves her blankie!

I feel like Addison has learned something new everyday this month. I can't believe that she went from just barely crawling last month to being so extremely mobile this month. It is so much fun to watch!! So, I'll give you a little video to watch, too! :)

Finally Nine

I'm sorry this is so late. I can't believe that I let this month kind of get away from me, but it has been wedding season around here and kind of crazy. Hopefully things will settle down and get back to normal soon. While I was away from the blogging world, Miss Addison turned nine months old on May 20th. Here are some things she has been up to in her ninth month:

• CRAWLING!

• Absolutely not crawling on the tile floor. She will come right up to the edge of the tile and stop and cry/fuss for me to come get her. (Have I ever mentioned her aversion to some textures?)

• Standing up in her crib.

• We had to lower her mattress to the last level. I don't cry easily or get overly sentimental or emotional about things, but seeing her mattress so low made me tear up. It was just one of those moments that I realized how grown up she is getting, and before long she won't be my little baby anymore.

• Seperation anxiety has set in. We had about two weeks of rough nights. She wanted to be held, or rocked, and sometimes she literally just wanted me to stand there and watch her fall asleep. Since she has never been one to enjoy being held or rocked when she is going down, I kind of tried to look at this as a little blessing in disguise that I was being given time to rock and cuddle her before she is no longer a little baby anymore. Luckily, her nighttime seperation anxiety didn't last very long, because I don't know how long my good attitude could have lasted. :)
  

• Addison started seeing a new pediatrician. We all loved her!
  

• Wearing 6-9 month clothes, size three diapers, and size 2 shoes. (Target says size 2 is for 3-6 months...is this way off for anyone else?)
  

• 17lb 10oz which puts her in the 30th percentile and 27.5 in. which is in the 70th percentile.
